Stokesley is a market town in North Yorkshire, England. It lies on the River Leven.
Stokesley is about two miles south of the Middlesbrough borough boundary and eight miles south of Middlesbrough town centre. Stokesley is between Middlesbrough, Guisborough and Northallerton in a farming area. Local attractions nearby include Great Ayton, Captain Cook’s monument and Roseberry Topping in the North York Moors National Park.
The large range of building types here, including fine Georgian architecture contribute to the local character.
